Habitat: Found in open forest and woodland, also parks and gardens.

Distribution: Found in great numbers in tropical Australia, Queensland and northern New South Wales, across northern Australia as far west as Onslow in Western Australia, it has been spotted in Victoria, Alice Springs Adelaide and Lord Howe Island.
